Dahi Aloo Ki Sabji recipe- How to make dahi aloo ki sabji recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh Curd or yogurt, dahi, nicely whisked
- 1 cup water
- 3 large boiled potatoes
- 1 tbsp Ghee/clarified butter
- 1 bay leaf / tej patta
- A pinch of asafoetida
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 green chili chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
- 1/2 tsp dry mint leaves, crushed
Method:
- Heat ghee in a thick bottom pan and add cumin seeds.
- When cumin seeds crackle add a pinch of asafoetida, bay leaf and green chili and turmeric powder and saute.
- Add 1/2 cup water and red chili powder and then add whisked curd.
- Stir continuously on high flame till the curd combines well else there is a chance for curd to curdle.
- when curd starts boiling then add boiled cubed potato along with salt and coriander powder.
- Mix well, cover and simmer for 5 minutes or till potato absorbs flavor.
- Now add garam masala and dry mango powder and sprinkle dry mint crushed leaves.
- Dahi aloo is ready to serve.
