Coconut Chutney is common in South India. It serves as a side dish.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 1 tablespoon roasted chana
- 2 tablespoon coriander leaves
- 1-inch ginger
- 2 green chili
- salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon urad dal
- 3-4 curry leaves
- 2 dry red chili
Method:
- Put the grated coconut and roasted chana, ginger, green chili, coriander leaves and salt in a blender and grind to make a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds.
- When seeds crackle, add urad dal, curry leaves, dry red chili and mix well.
- Now add this in the paste and now add lemon juice.
- Now chutney is ready to serve.
