Coconut Chutney

Coconut Chutney is common in South India. It serves as a side dish.
Coconut Chutney


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon roasted chana
  • 2  tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 1-inch ginger
  • 2 green chili
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon urad dal
  • 3-4 curry leaves
  • 2 dry red chili

Method:

  • Put the grated coconut and roasted chana, ginger, green chili, coriander leaves and salt in a blender and grind to make a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds.
  • When seeds crackle, add urad dal, curry leaves, dry red chili and mix well.
  • Now add this in the paste and now add lemon juice.
  • Now chutney is ready to serve.
