Shahi Paneer Recipe-How to make shahi paneer recipe-Paneer Recipe-Muglai Shahi paneer

This quick North Indian delicacy is a must try and perfect for special occasions.This simple yet indulgent recipe is can be easily prepared.In this recipe I used cashew nut based tomato gravy to bring in the rich texture and flavor.


Serve for 4 people

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams Paneer
  • 2 medium-sized onion chopped
  • 2 Tomato
  • 1-inch ginger
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 7-8 Cashew nuts
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/2 piece of Bay leaf
  • A small piece of cinnamon stick
  • 2  green cardamoms
  • 2 cloves (laung) 
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Method:


  • Paneer cubed into 1-inch pieces.
  • Chopped tomato, onion, ginger, garlic and green chili.
  • Heat oil in a pan and cumin seeds when they began to crackle add cloves, green cardamom,bayleaf and cinnamon stick and stir.
  • Add garlic, ginger and green chili and chopped onion and saute till it light brown.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder , redchilli powder, chopped tomato and cashew nuts and saute till tomato become soft.
  • Now take away pan from the flame and let the mixture cool down. 
  • Discard all the whole spices and blend this mixture in a jar and make a smooth paste.
  • Now transfer it again on same pan and place on gass stove.
  • Now add fresh cream and mix well.
  • Add paneer cubes, garam masala powder and mix well and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add dry mango powder and sugar and mix well.
  • Now our shahi paneer is ready to serve.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves

Tip
Submerged paneer in water to increase its self life.
