Stuffed Ladyfingers(Bhindi)

How to make Bhindi ki sabzi-Bhindi recipe-Veg okra recipe
A simple ladyfinger dish-Ideal for the daily meal-no onion and no garlic

Ingredients:

  • 250 gm bhindi 
  • 2 tsp oil
  • a pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 green chili chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves

Method:

  • Bhindi should wash with water to remove dirt.
  • Whip dry and trim both ends of the bhindi.
  • Slit each bhindi vertically without breaking or cutting into two halves. Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  • When seeds crackle then add asafoetida and turmeric powder, mix well.
  • Add bhindi and salt and mix well and cover with a lid on low flame for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  • When bhindi is cooked add all the spices and mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
