An onion stuffed Indian flatbread recipe is ideally suited for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients:

2 Cups wheat flour
Oil
Water for kneading the dough
1 cup chopped onion
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
1 green chili finely chopped (optional)
Handful chopped coriander leaves(optional)

Method:

Mix wheat flour, salt, and  1 tablespoon oil and knead a soft dough with the help of water.Keep aside.
Combine onion, green chili, coriander leaves, salt, red chili powder and garam masala powder and mix well.
After dough has rested 20 minutes, knead the dough slightly.
Divide dough into equal portion and make balls.
Now take one ball, sprinkle some dry flour and roll 3-4 inch.
Now place 1 tbsp onion stuffing in the center and take the edge and start pleating bringing to center.
sprinkle some flour and roll of chapati size.
Place it on a hot tawa/griddle and cook it few seconds.
When bubbles appear to flip it and again cook for few seconds.
And apply oil on both sides and cook till red spots are appearing.
 Repeat with the remaining dough and stuffing.
Now onion paratha is ready to serve.
We can serve it with curd or raita or pickle.
