Serving For Six people
Ingredients:
250 grams Paneer
1 Cup Peas
1 large size Tomatoes
1/2 inch ginger
1 green chili
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp ghee
a pinch of asafoetida
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
1/2 garam masala
1/2 dry mango powder
Chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
First, we make a fine paste of tomato, ginger and green chili.
Cut paneer into cubes.
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and cumin seeds.
When cumin seeds crackle add asafoetida, turmeric powder, and tomato paste and saute well.
Add coriander powder, red chili powder and saute until ghee separates from the masala.
Add paneer and peas and half cup water and salt.
Cover cooker with lid and cook it till 2 whistles on high flame.
Once the cooker is cooled down then add garam masala and dry mango powder and mix well.
Paneer Matar curry is ready to serve while serving garnish with coriander leaves.
Matar paneer curry goes well with chapati, parantha, and rice.
