Veg Hakka Noodles is a popular Indo Chinese dish. Made with fresh noodles and it has a strong flavor of soy sauce and garlic. This quick and easy to make Chinese noodle dish is perfect as a snack or main course and for hosting great parties. I share with you a very quick and easy to make and perfect to serve with a gravy of your choice.
Serves(4-6)
Ingredients:
200 gms Hakka noodles
4 tbsp oil
4-5 dry, whole red chilies- cut into slices
1/2 tsp chili paste or chili sauce
1/2 tsp crushed garlic
salt to taste
1 carrot – cut into julienne
1 capsicum – cut into julienne
2- 3 spring onions- sliced diagonally, keep green separate
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup bean sprouts – optional
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp Ajinomoto – optional
1-2 tsp soy sauce
Method:
- To boil noodles, boiled a pan filled with 10-12 cups water.
- Add 2 tsp salt and 1 tbsp oil.
- Add noodles to boiling water.
- Stir with a fork.
- Boil for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from fire.
- Let noodles be in hot water for 2 minutes.
- Drain. spread them on a tray.
- Sprinkle 2-3 tbsp oil on the noodles immediately and mix gently.
- Keep under the fan for 5-7 minutes, of using immediately.
- Heat 2-3 tbsp oil.
- Add sliced red chilies, chili paste, garlic and white part of onions. stir.
- Add capsicum and carrots.
- Stir-fry for a minute.
- Add the boiled noodles.
- Add Ajinomoto, salt, and pepper and soy sauce and mix well.
- Add cabbage, greens of spring onion and bean sprouts.
- Mix well and remove from fire.
- Veg Hakka Noodles are ready to serve.
