Quick jeera rice recipe – How to make jeera rice recipe
Rice cooked along with cumin seeds and whole spices tempered in ghee. This is wonderfully cumin flavored rice that enhances the flavor of many a dull meal.
Serving for 2
Ingredients:
- Basmati rice- 1 cup
- Cumin seeds -1 tablespoon
- Bay leaf – 2
- Cardamom – 1
- Dry Red Chilly – 2
- Cinnamon sticks – 1
- Ghee – 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Lemon Juice – 1 teaspoon

Method:
- Wash the rice 2- 3 times.
- Drain it completely.
- Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cardamom, dry red chilly, and cinnamon stick and saute.
- Add rice and roast for one minute.
- Add 2 cup water and salt according to taste.
- Cover the pan.
- Once the water begins to boil then reduce the heat to low.
- Cook on low flame till water is absorbed.
- Now our jeera rice is ready to serve.
- Serve hot with raita or dal.
