Quick jeera rice recipe – How to make jeera rice recipe 

Rice cooked along with cumin seeds and whole spices tempered in ghee. This is wonderfully cumin flavored rice that enhances the flavor of many a dull meal.

Serving for 2

Ingredients:

  • Basmati rice- 1 cup
  • Cumin seeds -1 tablespoon
  • Bay leaf – 2
  • Cardamom – 1
  • Dry Red Chilly – 2
  • Cinnamon sticks – 1
  • Ghee – 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon Juice – 1 teaspoon

Method:
  • Wash the rice 2- 3 times.
  • Drain it completely.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cardamom, dry red chilly, and cinnamon stick and saute.
  • Add rice and roast for one minute.
  • Add 2 cup water and salt according to taste.
  • Cover the pan.
  • Once the water begins to boil then reduce the heat to low.
  • Cook on low flame till water is absorbed.
  • Now our jeera rice is ready to serve.
  • Serve hot with raita or dal.
