Ingredients:
For vada:
- 1/2 cup split black gram skinless (urad dal dhuli)
- 1/2 cup green gram skinless (moong dal dhuli)
- Salt to taste
- 1-inch ginger
- 2 green chilis
For Curd:
- 2 cup curd
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp black salt
- 2 tsp sugar
For serving:
- Tamarind chutney
- Green chutney
- Chat Masala Powder

Method:
- Mix urad dal and moong dal in a bowl.
- Clean wash and soak dal overnight or 7 to 8 hours.
- Wash and drain dal.
- Soaked dal, ginger, and green chilies add in a blender and grind to a smooth paste.
- Add salt and mix well till dal become light and fluffy.
- Add little water if required.
- Heat oil in a pan for frying and drop small balls of batter in the oil with the help of a spoon.
- The flame should be medium.
- Fry till golden brown. Then take them out on the kitchen paper.
- In a bowl fill 4 cups water with 1 tsp salt and put the Bhalla in it.
- let them soak for 1/2 hour.
For Curd:
- Beat the curd with sugar until smooth and put in a bowl.
- Before serving add salt, black salt, black pepper, cumin powder, red chili powder and mix well.
For serving:
- Squeeze out the vadas from the water and in deep dish arrange vadas and pour dahi over them.
- Sprinkle some chat masala powder and put a spoon of tamarind and green chutney and thin sav.
Our Dahi vada is ready to serve.
