Ingredients
1 cup Sattu
2 cup wheat flour
1-inch ginger grated
1 tsp dry mango powder
1 large size finely chopped onion
1 green chili finely chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp carom seeds
1/2 tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
2 tsp oil
2 tsp ghee
Method
- For preparing the dough, knead wheat flour, ghee, salt and required amount of water to make a soft dough out of it. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
- For preparing the filling, in a mixing bowl take sattu, add grated ginger, mango powder, onion, green chili, lemon juice, carom seeds, red chili powder, salt, oil and add 1or 2 tsp water and mix well.
- For making paratha divide the dough into small portion and make it into round shape.
- Place a portion of sattu mixture in the middle, enfold the fillings and then roll out the paratha.
- On a preheated griddle or tawa and cook the paratha by applying ghee evenly till both sides are cooked and golden brown in color.
- Serve it hot with chutney and curd and pickle.
