Masoor Dal Pakoda recipe- How to make masoor dal pakoda
It is a Banarasi style pakora. Masoor dal pakora is an authentic dish which is perfect to serve on all occasions. The masoor dal pakora is delicious and has an amazing aroma.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup masoor daal
- 1 medium sized onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon gram flour
- 1- inch ginger grated
- 1 green chili chopped
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
- Salt to taste
- A handful of coriander leaves chopped
- Oil for frying
Method:
- Soak masoor daal in water for more than 2 to 3 hours.
- Drain the water and grind it to make a smooth paste.
- Transfer all the paste to a mixing bowl.
- Add all the ingredients expect chaat masala and mix it well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. With damp hands, take small portions of the mixture, shape into pakoras and slide them into the hot oil.
- Deep fry the pakoras till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle some chaat masala.
- Transfer onto a serving plate and serve hot.
