Raw banana fry recipe, How to make raw banana fry
Raw banana is widely used in Tamil recipes. This mildly spiced crispy raw banana fry with less oil goes very well with all south Indian rice varieties.

Ingredients:
- 3 – Raw banana
- 2 – tomato
- 1 – green chili
- 1-inch ginger
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
- 1/2 teaspoon – mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon – cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon coriander leaves finely chopped
Method:
- Wash raw bananas well. Peel them and cut half-inch thick round slices.
- Put them in a bowl and fill enough water in it so that the pieces of raw bananas can be submerged easily.
- Put them on fire and mix 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder and 1/2teaspoon salt in it.
- Keep it boiling until they become soft. Then, put off the fire, strain pieces and make them cool.
- Meanwhile, Add tomato, ginger and green chili in a blender and make a smooth paste.
- Take a pan and put oil and heat it.
- Add asafoetida, mustard seeds and cumin seeds in hot oil.
- Add turmeric powder and tomato paste and mix well.
- Add coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt and fry it till oil floats on this paste.
- Add boiled raw bananas and stir them for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add garam masala and dry mango powder and mix well.
- Put off the fire and add some coriander leaves in it.
- Raw banana fry is ready to serve.
