This is a delicious masala bhindi recipe that I often make at home. This masala bhindi recipe is easy to make and is a dry veg.

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams Bhindi
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • A pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • 2 green chili chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves

Method:

  • Bhindi should wash with water to remove dirt.
  • Whip dry and trim both ends of the bhindi.
  • Also, ensure that pat dry bhindi with no trace of moisture before you chop them.
  • Once done, chopped bhindi into small round pieces.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  • When seeds crackle then put asafoetida and turmeric powder, mix well.
  • Add bhindi and salt and mix well and cover with a lid on low flame for 5 minutes. 
  • Stirring occasionally.
  • When bhindi is cooked add all the spices and mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
