Lobia/cowpea is a good source of protein. Spiced and tasty chawla fali and potatoes stir-fry made in Punjabi style. This easy and quick to prepare Punjabi recipe is made with minimum ingredients and yet taste very good.

Ingredients:
- 250 grams Chawla Fali
- 2 Potato
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- A pinch of asafoetida
- 1/2 inch grated ginger
- 1 green chili chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder
- A handful chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Method:
- First, we clean and chop Chawala fali.
- Peel potatoes and chopped.
- In a thick bottom pan heat oil.
- Add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
- When seeds color changes Add grated ginger and turmeric powder and saute for a minute.
- Now add potato and saute for a minute.
- Now add green chilly and chopped Chawala Fali.
- Add salt and mix well and cover it for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Now stir and checked, if not cooked then cover it again and cook until both veggies will get cook.
- Now add red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and dry ginger powder.
- Mix well and add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati, paratha or puri.
