Sweet Rice Pulao recipe, How to make sweet rice pulao

Sweet rice pulao is easy to cook and good in taste. Kids are very fond of eating sweet rice.
Serve sweet rice with moong mogar and plain curd.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
  • 7 to 8 strands of saffron
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 2 to 3 almonds
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange color
  • 1/4 teaspoon green colour

Method:

  • Wash rice and soak in water for 1 hour.
  • Heat 3 cups of water in a pan. Once it comes to boil, add the soaked rice without water.
  • Cook till the rice is about 90% done.
  • Strain the water and divide into three equal portions.
  • Mix sugar and 1/4 cup water in a pan and heat.
  • Add crushed cardamom and saffron strand.
  • Stir Ocasitionaly and make one thread sugar solution.
  • Divide this into three equal parts.
  • In one part add orange colour and in the second part add green color and third part leave as it is.
  • Take orange sugar solution and add one portion of rice to it and little ghee and mix well.
  • Heat this mixture until all water should be absorbed.
  • Like this, we prepare white color rice and green color rice.
  • Now arrange in a plate to make tricolor.
