Ingredients:

  • 250 Parwal
  • 2 tablespoon – oil
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Wash, peel parwal and remove stalk from both ends.
  • Make a slit in center lengthwise keeping joint from the back.
  • Mix all the spices and fill in the parwal’s slit.
  • Heat a wok and add oil and asafoetida and cumin seeds.
  • When cumin seeds crackle, add turmeric powder and stuffed parwal.
  • And little salt as we already add in masala.
  • Mix well and cover it.
  • Cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Turn off the gas.
  • Stuff parwal is ready to serve.
