Sprouted moong pakode recipe, How to make sprouted moong pakode
Generally, kids don’t want to eat sprouts but on tasting this delicious pakoda they would want it daily. This unique dish has a very off-beat taste and texture that will surprise you. It is also quick and easy to make if you have sprouted moong ready on hand because there is no soaking or fermenting involved in the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup ground moong sprouts
- 1/2 cup gram flour
- 1 large-sized chopped onion
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds
- Oil for frying
Method:
- Blend the moong in a mixer till coarse.
- Transfer the moong mixture into a deep bowl, add all other ingredients and mix well.
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, drop a spoonful of the mixture using your fingers, and deep-fry a few pakoras at a time on a medium flame till they turn golden brown in color from all the sides.
- Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.
