Jaggery malpuas recipe, How to make jaggery malpuas
Jaggery malpua is a delicious dessert and melt in the mouth. This wheat flour malpuas should be served right off the tava, garnish with cardamom powder and almonds or with a topping of creamy rabdi.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup grated jaggery
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Ghee as required
Method:
- Heat 3/4 cup of water in a broad non-stick pan, add the jaggery, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes or till the jaggery melts.
- Remove from the flame, transfer into a bowl, and keep aside to cool slightly.
- Add the whole wheat flour and fennel seeds, cardamom powder and mix well till no lumps remain.
- Heat a non- stick tava and grease it using a little ghee.
- Pour a small ladleful of the batter on it and spread it evenly.
- Cook both sides till it turns golden brown in color from both sides.
