Pizza Paratha recipe, how to make pizza paratha whole wheat flour

Pizza paratha is a fusion dish – an Indian stuffed paratha loaded with cheese. Or we can say a desi delight with a western touch, the pizza paratha is a cheesy paratha that recreates the magic of pizzas in a popular Indian format. Kid’s favorite paratha recipe with stuffed pizza sauce and veggies. Ideal to serve for a meal or evening snacks. Just like the way pizza is served hot. This paratha too is best served hot.
You didn’t need any chutney or pickle with this paratha if you use a really good pizza sauce.

Ingredients:

  • Ghee for frying
  • 1 cup pizza sauce

For Dough

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour(optional)
  • 2 Tablespoon oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed 

For filling

  • 1/2 cup chopped capsicum
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup grated paneer
  • 1 teaspoon chili flex
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

Method:

  • Add wheat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, and oil in a mixing bowl and mix it well.
  • Pour water little by little and begin to make a dough.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon oil and knead until the dough becomes soft and pliable.
  • Cover and set this aside for 15 minutes.
  • In another bowl add chopped veggies and mozzarella cheese, chili flex and oregano and mix it.
  • Our pizza paratha stuffing is ready.
  • Now divide the dough into 5 or 6 equal parts.
  • Flatten a ball and dust some flour on both sides.
  • Roll a 4-inch diameter round chapatti and then spread one tablespoon pizza sauce and spread stuffing.
  • Take the edge and start pleating bringing to center and press the pleats.
  • Furthermore, sprinkle some flour and roll it a chapati size.
  • Place rolled paratha on a hot tawa/griddle and cook both sides.
  • Apply ghee and press slightly.
