Hey foodies! Today I am sharing an easy and healthy burger recipe.
It’s a delectable evening snack, and an easy way to make the kids eat spinach and corn if they do not like it. In this burger recipe, a delicious patty made from corn, potatoes, spinach and a dash of spices. This is the best way to make your kids eat spinach.
Ingredients:
For Patty
- Spinach- 1 cup chopped
- Sweet corn – 1 cup
- Potato – 1 boiled and mashed/ grated
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper- 1/4 teaspoon
- Red chilly powder- 1/4 teaspoon
- Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
- Roasted cumin powder- 3/4 teaspoon
- Chopped green chilly -1
- chopped onion -1
- 1 cup bread crumbs
For Burger
- 2 burger buns
- 1 onion slices
- 1 tomatoes slices
- 2 cheese slices
- 4 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon green chutney
oil for frying
Lettuce
Method:
- Coarsely grind sweet corn in a blender.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan.
- Add chopped onions and fry till translucent.
- add spinach and ground corn and cook for 2 -3 minutes.
- Remove the mixture from the blender and add boiled and grated potatoes into it.
- Add all spices and bread crumbs and mix well.
- Make small cutlets from the mixture.
- Heat some oil in a pan and when the oil is hot, drop the cutlets in the hot oil and shallow fry on medium heat till golden brown from both the sides.
- Heat a griddle on medium flame.
- Cut half the burger bun and spread butter on griddle and toast buns.
- Now in a bowl prepare burger sauce for this add mayonnaise and tomato sauce in a bowl and mix well.
- In another bowl add mayonnaise and chutney.
- Spread burger sauce on a toasted bun and spread lettuce then add patty and then cheese slice, add onion slice and then a tomato slice then again spread green sauce.
- Cover with burger bun and press slightly.
- Our burger is ready to serve.
