Pasta is a staple food of traditional Italian cuisine. Perfectly cooked farfalle(butterflies) in richly flavored tomato sauce come across as a heavenly match. This is a great recipe for brunch or to pack in your kid’s tiffin. This easy to make recipe can be easily prepared at home using some simple ingredients.
- Farfalle(butterflies) pasta- 1 cup
- Tomatoes- 3
- onion – 1
- Red chilly – 2
- Black Pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
- Pasta sauce – 1 teaspoon
- Pasta mix – 1 teaspoon
- Oil- 2 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Cheese- 1 slice or grated 2 to 3 teaspoon

Method:
- In a pan add 2 cups of water and red chilly, tomatoes which are marked with + and onion and bring it to boil.
- When water starts boiling switch off the flame and covers it for 5 minutes.
- After that peel off the skin of tomatoes and blend with onion and red chilly to smooth puree.
- Our red sauce is ready.
- Meanwhile, in a large bowl add 3 cups of water and heat when water comes to a boil add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon oil, and 1 cup pasta.
- Keep stirring occasionally and cook for 10 to 15 minutes until pasta cooked.
- Drain in a strainer and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add red sauce and saute.
- Add salt and black pepper and pasta sauce and pasta-mix and mix well.
- Add boiled pasta and mix gently, make sure the sauce has coated well.
- Finely, serve red sauce pasta hot topped with any cheese of your choice.
