Bel Ka Sharbet or Wood Apple Squash

Bel fruit is also known as Bengal quince, stone apple or wood apple. The temperature is soaring so high and hot winds are blowing to make everyone fall ill. Try this summer drink its cooling for the body. It helps in digestion and helpful in getting rid of ulcers and constipation. it also helps in blood purification.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium size wood apple 
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1-liter water
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Black salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Roasted cumin powder 

Method:

  • Take the bael and wash it properly.
  • Break it like you break a coconut.
  • Scoop out the pulp using a spoon.
  • Put the pulp in the vessel.
  • Add some water, enough to cover it fully.
  • Put this in the blender and run the blender for few seconds, say 10 to 12 seconds.
  • Strain it in a colander.
  • Add sugar as per your taste.
  • Chill in refrigerator.
  • At the time of serving. 
  • Dilute it by adding water.
  • Add few drops of lemon juice, black salt, and roasted cumin powder. Drop in ice cubes.
