Ingredients:
- 1+1/2 Cups Maida (All purpose flour)
- 1/2 cup oil
- 3/4 cup Powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh curd
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 Meetha Paan
- 1/2 Tsp Baking soda
- 1 Tsp Baking Powder
- A Pinch of green food color (optional)
- For Decoration:
- 1 Cup Non-dairy whipping cream
- Paan Syrup (optional)
- Colorful fennel or sprinkles
Method:
- Preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
- Grind meetha paan in grinder.
- Sieve the flour with baking powder, baking soda and keep it aside.
- Beat oil, sugar, and curd for 2 minutes.
- Add ground paan mixture.
- Mix dry ingredients and add milk as required.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake mold.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 180 degrees.
- Remove the cake and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- Demold the cake and cool completely.
- Cut the cake into 2 slices.
- Add the green color to the whipped cream, and whip well.
- Brush the cake with some water and then cover with the whipped cream.
- Spread one teaspoon paan syrup and sprinkle some fennel seeds.
- Place the next slice of cake and repeat.
- Cover with the last slice.
- Brush the top with a little water.
- Cover the cake with whipped cream.
- Garnish with fennel seeds, dried rose petals.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
